Welcome to Anpo, a vibrant Paiwan village located in Sandimen Township, Pingtung County. Our village is famous for its unique focus on traditional folk toys, earning us the beloved nickname the "Kingdom of Toys." These remarkable toys are crafted entirely from natural materials, which is why our tribe members affectionately call them "Products of the Mountains and Streams." This deep connection to nature has made Anpo a celebrated highlight among Taiwan's indigenous communities. Have you ever wondered how indigenous children learned in the days before formal education? They learned by living—following their fathers on the hunt, weaving beside their mothers, and playing freely in the great outdoors with friends! This way of learning was the most natural and the most joyful. We have designed our tours from this very perspective. Our mission is to introduce you to the most cherished parts of our tribal culture, inviting you to share in an authentic experience rooted in nature, play, and joy.

The Experience
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Welcome Delicacy DIY: The Making of Qiluks Experience Qiluks (pronounced "Chu-lu-ke"), a celebratory food of the Paiwan people. Using a traditional pestle and mortar technique passed down for decades, you'll pound hot sticky rice until it's perfectly fragrant, springy, and chewy. Finally, add the sweet peanut powder filling. Hand-crafting your own special treat is a delicacy full of culture!
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | Tribal Gourmet Feast Indulge in a grand Paiwan-style meal, prepared with the freshest local ingredients. Inheriting the Paiwan culture of food-sharing, you'll experience the tribe's warm hospitality and savor the delicious flavors from the mountains and forests!
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM | Traditional Tribal Toy DIY Get hands-on and create your own traditional tribal toys. You'll learn how to use natural materials and simple tools to craft a unique toy, experiencing the fun and ingenuity of Paiwan culture firsthand!
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Exploring the Secret Wonderland Follow our local expert guide to explore a secret natural wonderland. Get up close with nature, admire magnificent scenery, and feel the charm of the pristine forest. In this tranquil environment, you'll connect with the land's vitality, adding a touch of peace and mystery to your journey!
